Outpatient Physical Therapy

Outpatient Physical Therapy is provided at six locations throughout the Concord area and includes over 35 clinicians with a broad range of experience and expertise including APTA board certified in orthopaedics (OCS); Lymphedema trained or nationally certified; McKenzie certified practitioners; Certified Work Capacity Evaluators (CWCE); Certified in Case Management (CCM). We are an active clinical research facility with a strong focus on evidence-based practice.

We also have therapists who subspecialize in Women’s Health, LE Biomechanical Evaluation and Treatment, Vestibular Evaluation and Treatment and Falls Risk Assessments, Industrial Rehabilitation including Work Conditioning and Functional Capacity Evaluations. We support transitional DPT programs and other certifications. In addition, we are an active clinical affiliation site and have a close working relationship with academic institutions.

Inpatient Rehabilitation Services

Join our large dynamic inpatient multidisciplinary team. We have experienced staff as team members designated to each specialty unit including: medical, critical care, orthopaedics, cardiopulmonary and medical-surgical. Evidence-based practice and a focus on national trends in rehabilitation also guide our practice. Our professional colleagues in OT/PT/ST will welcome your clinical skills and assist you in your pursuit of clinical excellence. Advancement of professional development is encouraged. We have specialty certifications in wound care, vestibular, geriatrics, and the Lee Silverman Treatment approach.

Outpatient Occupational Therapy

Our department specializes in hand therapy and includes staff that are certified in hand therapy and in ergonomic evaluation. Mentorship and opportunities for exposure and training is available in these specialty areas. We use a collaborative model with physicians which includes consultant rounds and opportunities to observe surgery.We are an active clinical affiliation site.

We offer our services at multiple convenient sites. The caseload offers opportunities to enhance skills in the treatment of patients with post surgical and trauma conditions, lymphedema, repetitive stress and sports injuries. Our experienced staff provide skilled manual treatments, advanced splinting and opportunities to assess and implement ergonomic recommendations.

Outpatient Speech

Outpatient speech therapy provides evaluation and treatment to all age groups. The practice primarily focuses on swallowing and speech/language impairments. Concord Hospital offers state-of-the-art voice retraining through a certified Lee Silverman Voice Treatment practitioner.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation Services/Medical Physical Therapy

Physical therapy staff also play a significant clinical role within our chronic disease rehabilitation programming. At Concord Hospital, we provide comprehensive AACVPR-certified Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehabilitation programs as well as a Medical Physical Therapy program. For the Medical Physical Therapy Program, clinicians provide evaluation, treatment and home exercise prescription for a variety of medical diagnoses includin heart failure, diabetes, and oncology.
